As always, it was a hive of activity, from ping-pong tournaments, to treasure hunts, to swimming galas, to Easter bonnet parades, President's Tea, Geowalk, Annual Meeting, music and entertainment, and so much more!
A particular thanks goes to Khaya and Eve Newman, who have succeeded Allie White and Barley Hearn as a very organised Easter Secretariat and did a sterling job with the logistics this year. Thanks also to Alistair McLaurin-Jones, who finalised his tenure as President, handing over the reins to incoming President, John Highfield.
We would also like to thank our Easter speakers, Jules Kirkpatrick (S:1976-81), who addressed a packed Meeting House, speaking about her exceptionally exciting 10 year 'gap' year from 2012. Her adventures can be seen in the youtube video here, and more about her adventures (captured from her Darwen Lecture address to students in School) can be read here.
Throughout the Reunion, we were lucky enough to be able to showcase works by Old Scholar Juliet Petty (nee Plant) in our Arts Centre. Jasmin Petty, her daughter, accompanied the private view with a talk including moving reminiscences from her mother's art career. Some of these pieces can be seen on instagram: @julietpettyartist.
Should you be interested to see photos from the Reunion, please see the Gallery below. Minutes from the Annual Meeting can be downloaded by Sidcotians Connect online members here.
Thank you for joining us and we look forward to seeing you - and new joiners - next year!
