Leonie, who joined us in 2012 via trusted agent Glasmacher, thrived at School and through the International Baccalaureate. Capitalising on her academic success in Fine Art, Leonie has established a career in Production Design, meeting her now fiancé – also working in films - through work.
 
It was a joy to show Leonie around her old haunts and hear her stories from her time at School. When asked what advice she would give to Sidcotians looking to go into the creative industries now, she said: “Sidcot taught me to step out of my comfort zone and trust my creativity, something I’ve carried with me from studying architecture to working as a Production Designer for film and TV in Germany. Be curious and follow what genuinely excites you, even if the path isn’t always straightforward. In the film industry people remember your passion and reliability just as much as your talent, so being someone a team can trust and wants to work with again is incredibly important. The creative industries are so collaborative, so the relationships you build along the way often open the most unexpected doors.”
