Many thanks to Jennifers son Martin for sharing this photo of Jennifer who has recently celebrated her 93rd birthday with her family in Haywards Heath. Pictured are three of her sons and wives who were able to be there to help her celebrate with a Birthday afternoon tea. The one son missing, Matthew, had recently visited all the way from New Zealand but wasn't still in the UK for the photo.
Martin commented:
"Jennifer is settling into her new surroundings though she continues really to miss all her friends from Lavenham and would much rather still be there!"
During her time at Sidcot Jennifer was a prefect, a member of the orchestra and the madrigal choir. Jennifer married John Lawrence in 1955 in Bristol. They had four sons Martin, Antony, Matthew & Roger. Jennifer studied for a BA in French at Bristol University. Jennifer has lived in Bristol, Antwerp and Lavenham, where she managed a holiday cottage. Her hobbies have included lace making, recorder playing and volunteering with the home library service.
If you would like to contact her please get in touch with the alumni office alumni@sidcot.org.uk.
