We have recently been informed by her daughter Sarah that Ursula Jill Bowett (nee Errington), passed away on August 9th 2023 age 86, in Norfolk. Her funeral was at Old Hunstanton church on September 1st. Ursula was very fond of Sidcot and visited with her family a few years ago. Her father Richard Percy Errington was also a Sidcotian from 1918 to 1921, they were from a Quaker family home in Kings Lynn.

Errington, Ursula Jill (secretary); b. Kings Lynn 15th Jan 1937; p. Richard Percy Errington (q.v.) and Ursula (Curtis); S. 1950 - 1954 choir, Music Society, Literary Society, Astronomy Society; m. Thomas David Bowett (company director) at London, 11 June 1960; ch. Sarah Jill. and Thomas James. At school in Switzerland 1954 - 1955; 1955 Presented at Court; R.S.A. Silver Medal, Marlborough Secretarial College, Oxford; medical secretary; school secretary; Red Cross voluntary work, Guyana and UK. Action Research for the Crippled Child; 1991 J.P.; lived and travelled in Nigeria, Nyasaland, South Africa and Aden. Ursula enjoyed choir, theatre, hill walking swimming and tennis.
