Meryl and Mary both left Sidcot in 1969, while Christopher taught at the School between 1966 and 1971. Their return provided a wonderful opportunity to reminisce about their time at Sidcot and to see how the School has developed over the years.

Meryl went on to become a nurse with the NHS, following in the footsteps of her mother, who worked as a nurse in the sanatorium at Sidcot. Mary has also enjoyed a fascinating and varied career, including working as an editor for the United Nations, as well as travelling extensively gaining a wealth of experiences from around the world.

During their visit, Meryl, Mary and Christopher also met up with fellow former student Oliver Kinneir, who now works at Sidcot School in Design and Technology. It was a lovely opportunity to reconnect with an old friend and share memories of their time at the School.

We were delighted to welcome them back to Sidcot and hope they enjoyed revisiting a place that has played such an important part in their lives. It was wonderful to hear their stories, learn more about their journeys since leaving school and see old connections renewed.
